Common Yellow-throat at Seven Islands--watercolor by Vickie Henderson
"Common Yellowthroat at Seven Islands" was commissioned by the Legacy Parks Foundationin Knoxville, Tennessee, as the commemorative print for their 2013 Luncheon for the Parks fundraising event. The event was held at Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge with Governor Bill Haslam as the guest speaker. In his address, Governor Haslam announced that Seven Islands would become Tennessee's 56th state park and the first in a series of birding state parks in Tennessee. The original painting was presented to Pete and Linda Claussen to honor their dedication to conserving the land and their efforts toward making the state park designation a reality.

Seven Islands officially became Tennessee's first birding state park on July 1st, 2014 with its new name: Seven Islands State Birding Park.
