I had the privilege of working with the art curators for the Smithsonian National Zoological Park and Gardens, in Washington D.C., in the creation of the interpretive art for the new Whooping Crane Exhibit at our national zoo!

"Common Yellow-throat at Seven Islands" was commissioned by the Legacy Parks Foundation in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the 2013 Luncheon for the Parks annual fundraiser. At the luncheon, Governor Bill Haslam announced that Seven Islands would become Tennessee's first "birding" state park.
